WATERVAL POLICE NAB A SUSPECTED BUSINESS ROBBERY KINGPIN IN POSSESSION OF AN UNLICENSED FIREARM
POLOKWANE: The Police in Waterval have nabbed a 54-year-old male suspect for unlawful possession of firearm on Saturday, 02 December 2023 at Valdezia village in Vhembe District.
According to the information available at this stage, it is reported that the Police were tracing the suspect of business robberies who ultimately failed to appear before court. Accordingly, a warrant of arrest was issued against him and subsequently on Saturday, 02 December 2023, the suspect was intercepted while in Hillview Shopping Complex through intelligence gathered and found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
It is reported that the suspect was arrested earlier in the year for four counts of business robberies committed within Waterval policing precinct and was later released on bail by the Vuwani Magistrate’s Court for other crimes committed within Vuwani policing precinct.
The suspect is expected to appear before Waterval Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 04 December 2023 to face charges of business robberies and unlawful possession of firearm.
