SAPS TINMYNE BUST TWO MALE SUSPECTS FOR BUSINESS ROBBERY IN KABEANA VILLAGE OUTSIDE MOKOPANE
POLOKWANE:The Police at Tinmyne outside Mokopane in Waterberg District have arrested two male suspects aged 24 and 26 years old for business robbery on Saturday 02 December 2023.
It is alleged that two male suspects intruded into a foreign owned tuckshop at Kabeana village on Saturday, 02 December 2023 at about 18:30 and allegedly threatened the foreign national shopkeeper with a knife and hit him with some sticks demanded cigarettes.
It is further alleged that the suspects robbed the shopkeeper undisclosed amount of money and a cellphone Samsung J5 worth R6000.00 and fled the scene on foot.
The Police received a report of a business robbery and immediately operationalized the information received from the source about the possible suspects of the business robbery that occurred at Kabeana village and subsequently one of the two suspects was arrested on the spot and later the second suspect was traced and arrested from a separate location.
The duo are facing charges of business robbery and assault with intention to inflict grievous bodily harm.
The suspects are scheduled to appear before Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 04 December 2023.
