SAPS SEKGOSESE APPREHEND A GIRL TEENAGER FOR ALLEGEDLY STABBING HER FATHER TO DEATH
POLOKWANE:The Police in Sekgosese have arrested a 19-year-old female suspect of murder on Wednesday 29 November 2023 at Rooerfontein village outside Giyani in Mopani District for allegedly killing her father.
It is reported that the Police received a report of family fighting on Wednesday ,29 November 2023 at about 21:30 from a reporter in Roerfontein village. Upon arrival of the Police at the crime scene they discovered a lifeless body of a male person having stab wound on his back body and on the right hand and he was identified by his wife as Edward Frank Ralekgokgo aged 60 years.
According to the information available at this stage, it is alleged that the deceased had a heated argument with his wife and the daughter realized that her mother was assaulted and she decided to shout calling upon the Community to come forward to assist in stopping the fight amongst the couple. Subsequently, the deceased suddenly attacked the suspect with a knife, the suspect managed to get the knife from the deceased and stabbed him.
The deceased was declared dead on the scene of crime by the paramedics. The motive behind the incident is not yet known but domestic violence cannot be ruled out.
The suspect is expected to appear before Giyani Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 01 December 2023.
