ONE SUSPECT ARRESTED AND HIS ACCOMPLICE FATALLY WOUNDED DURING OPERATION AT NEBO
POLOKWANE: A 54-year- old suspect arrested, while his accomplice aged 44 shot dead, during operation conducted at Mogaladi and Serageng villages in Nebo Policing precinct, from Thursday, 30 November 2023 to Friday, 01 December 2023.
According to information, Police were on operation tracing wanted suspects. One suspect aged 54 was arrested on Thursday, 30 November, at about 23:00 at Mogaladi village in connection with business robberies that occurred during May to August 2023 at Sekhukhune and Driekop policing areas.
Further information led the team to Serageng village, in the early hours of Friday, 01 December 2023, wherein the suspect noticed the Police at his residence and started to fire shots in their direction. Cross fire ensued, and the suspect aged 44 was fatally shot. He was also linked to the same cases of robberies. The suspect was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General, Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest and called upon the Police to be more vigilant while performing their daily duties.
The arrested suspect will appear before Nebo Magistrate’s Court on 04 December 2023.
