RITAVI POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR A WELL KNOWN MALE SUSPECT OF RAPE AND ASSAULT
POLOKWANE:The Police in Ritavi have launched a manhunt for a male suspect of rape occurred on Sunday 05 November 2023 at Mariveni village outside Tzaneen in Mopani District.
It is alleged that the victim a 27-year-old female was at her boyfriend’s home at Mariveni village on Sunday 05 November 2023 at about 19:00 in the evening when the boyfriend asked her money to buy some beers. It is alleged that the victim gave her boyfriend cash amount of R75.00 and the boyfriend allegedly started fighting the victim complaining about the money to say it is too little.
It is alleged that the boyfriend suddenly forced himself to the victim and raped and afterwards forced the victim to wash herself while he was outside the victim managed to runaway to the neighbor’s house seeking for assistance.
It is reported that the victim was rushed to the nearby hospital for medical assistance as a result she was assaulted.
A case of rape and assault with intention to inflict grievous bodily harm is investigated at Tzaneen Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
