THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF SUSPECTED STOLEN EARTH MOVING MACHINE OUTSIDE POLOKWANE
WESTERNBURG: Three male suspects were arrested along Vermikuleit Street at Ladanna Industrial area outside Polokwane on Saturday, 04 November 2023 for possession of suspected stolen Earth Moving Machine (TLB).
The suspects allegedly robbed the machine from the driver at gunpoint in Atok area, Burgersfort precinct on Friday, 03 November 2023 at about 16h00.
The TLB machine was reportedly loaded on an Abnormal Heavy Load Truck and transported to Polokwane together with the driver tied with cable ties.
Today in the early hours, the victim was allegedly kidnapped and loaded inside the boot of a Volkswagen VW Polo motor vehicle with two occupants and later abandoned at Leeukuil Plot, Percy Five under Mashashane policing area.
During the arrest, police seized TLB machine and the motor vehicle which was utilized during the commission of crime.
The suspects whose ages are still to be determined will appear before Polokwane Magistrate court soon facing charges of possession of suspected stolen property.
Police investigations are continuing.
