Political squabbles between ANC councillors over the appointment of the CFO continuing at Makhado Local Municipality

As the political squabbles between ANC councillors over the appointment of the chief financial officer continuing, at Makhado local municipality some party’s councillors led by chiefwhip Samson Baloyi left the council chamber where council sitting was held. Councillor Baloyi left council sitting together with councillor Gumani Mukwevho, Anderson Mudunungu and Janet Matumba. The disgruntled councillors wanted the council to withdraw appointment of Godfrey Raliphada as CFO citing that his appointment irregular as he is not meeting requirements. The council sitting was held earlier this week. The appointment of Raliphada as CFO is being challenged in the polokwane high court. The matter will be heard next month. Meanwhile Makhado mayor Samuel Munyai is among of three mayors to be removed next week.
