WATERBERG DISTRICT FLYING SQUAD RECOVER A STOLEN WATER TANKER FROM LEPHALALE EN ROUTE TO MOKOPANE
MOKOPANE: The members of the Waterberg District Flying Squad have nabbed one male suspect for alleged theft of a water tanker truck on Wednesday, 01 November 2023.
Police were conducting crime prevention duties when they received information regarding a white Tata truck that was stolen in Lephalale policing area and reportedly en route to Mokopane town while travelling along the N11 public road.
The members swiftly responded and managed to spot a water truck tanker fitting the description, they then pulled it over. The driver was asked about the legal ownership of the truck but he failed to provide satisfactory response and was immediately apprehended on the spot for being in possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle.
The suspect whose age is to be determined will appear before the Mokopane Magistrate court soon facing charges of being in possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle.
Police investigations are continuing.
