THE PROVINCIAL ORGANISED CRIME INVESTIGATION UNIT NAB A DRUG DEALEAR IN ZEBEDIELA
POLOKWANE:The Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Unit have nabbed a 32-year-old male suspect for dealing in illicit drugs on Thursday 10 August 2023 at Mathibela village in Zebediela outside Polokwane.
The team conducted a disruptive operation after receiving a tip off from the source. The members received information about the suspect dealing in illicit drugs in Mathibela village and they operationalized it by following up on the suspect .
It is reported that the suspect was spotted and stopped by the team while driving in a red motor vehicle, Toyota Corolla . The Police during the search recovered 25 sachets of crystal meth and 17 sachets of heroine in the suspect’s motor vehicle . The drug’s street value was estimated at R10 000 . The Police further seized cash money amounting to R4520.00 in the suspect s possession.
The total value of the confiscated items during the operation is R94520.00 that included R80 000 of the vehicle used for delivering the drugs.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in LImpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe praised the Team of investigators for their persistence in ridding this Province of drugs.
The suspect is expected to appear before Magatle Magistrate’s Court on Friday 11 August 2023 for dealing in drugs .
