MASSIVE MANHUNT ACTIVATED TO ARREST A GROUP OF UNKNOWN SUSPECTS WHO BOMBED ATMS AT MOLETLANE PLAZA

POLOKWANE: The SAPS Provincial Organised Crime Unit have activated a massive manhunt for a group of heavily armed suspects who allegedly blasted two ATMs at Moletlane Plaza, in the early hours of Wednesday, 02 August 2023.

According to information, a 49-year-old Security guard was on duty at the Plaza on the said night at around 02h00 when he allegedly noticed a group of armed suspects, who apparently also noticed him and started to chase after him. The Security seemingly managed to evade the robbers and went to safety . Security officer while in hiding , heard a sound of blast, and moments later the suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle at a high speed.

Two Automated Teller Machines(ATMs) were bombed and the suspects managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Police were immediately notified, and opened two counts of Malicious damage to property and two counts of Business Robbery.
A manhunt for the suspects involved has been launched.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has called upon the Investigation team to track down the suspects with a view to arrest them.

Police are appealing to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects to urgently contact Detective Captain Lesetja Mogotlane on 082 451 7232 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or the nearest Police Station or MySAPSApp.

The Police investigations are still ongoing.
