A 41-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF STOLEN ITEMS BELONGING TO MURDERED FEMALE EDUCATOR IN GIYANI
POLOKWANE: Mopani District Tracking Team, Giyani Detective member and Giyani CI arrested a 41-year-old suspect for possession of stolen properties, on Monday 19 June 2023.
Reportedly, the Police were tracing the suspects who killed a 50-year-old female teacher of Vuhehli Primary School during March 2023 in Vuhehli village. A 41-year-old suspect was found in possession of the items stolen during the murder incident. He was then arrested for possession of stolen properties.
During the arrest Police recovered one Lenova laptop silver grey in colour, charger and wireless black mouse.
Investigation to link him with the murder case is still underway.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has applauded the team for arresting the suspect and looking for positive results as investigations unfolds.
The arrested suspect will appear before Giyani Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, on Wednesday 21 June 2023 facing possession of stolen properties.
The Police investigations are still continuing.
