RAKGOADI POLICE RECOVERS FOURTEEN (14) SUSPECTED STOLEN CATTLE, COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE CALLED FOR IDENTIFICATION

POLOKWANE: The South African Police Service in Rakgoadi and Members of Stock Theft Unit at Sekhukhune District recovered fourteen (14) suspected stolen cattle at separate locations, Moeding and Mamphokgo villages, on Wednesday 24 May 2023.

It is reported that Police received information about the suspected stolen cattle at Moeding village at around 16h00. Leads were followed, on arrival they found seven(07) cattles tied with ropes in a kraal but at that time there was no one present to account.

The said seven cattle are not yet identified. They were then taken to pounding master at Siyabuswa .

In another incident at Mamphokgo village, on Wednesday, 24 May 2023 at around 20h00, police followed information and found seven (07) cattle in a kraal and the owner of the house was not found. He was called to his house but never came.

Preliminary investigations linked six(06) cattle with two cases reported at Moletlane policing area after the owners positively identified them.

No one has been arrested in both incidents and a manhunt of the suspect(s) is underway. Police calls upon Obed Mamogobo of Mamphokgo village to report to his local police as it is believed he can assist with further investigation.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
