MEDICAL AND DENTAL SPECIALISTS TO SPEND A WEEK IN CAPRICON DISTRICT DURING RURAL HEALTH MATTERS OUTREACH CAMPAIGN
Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba will lead a team of medical and dental specialists who will be rendering services at hospitals in the Capricon District from the 19th to 31st May 2023.
The Rural Health Matters outreach program stands to benefit people from disadvantaged communities. It is through this program that rural hospitals increase local access and allow patients to focus on getting better rather than getting to appointments.
The team includes but not limited to Paediatrics Surgeons, Ophthalmologists,Plastic &Reconstructive Surgeons, Radiologists, Gynecologist, Orthopaedics Surgeons, Urologists, ENT Surgeons, Obstetricians & Gynecologists, Maxillo Facial Surgeons, Anaesthesiologists, Physicians, Hand and Micro Surgery Specialists, and General Surgeons who will spend the whole week clearing surgical and medical backlogs,transferring skills and expose specialists to the entire province.
The team of specialists will be stationed in the following hospitals :
- Botlokwa Hospital
- Helene Franz Hospital
- WF Knobel Hospital
- Lebowakgomo Hospital
- Mankweng Hospital
- Pietersburg Hospital
