EFF STATEMENT ON THE ELECTION OF THE FOUTH MAYOR IN LEPHALALE
MUNICIPALITY.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Limpopo notes with displeasure the
rampant unabated changes in the mayoral position of the Lephalale Local
Municipality.
Elections have come and gone, now what is of utmost importance is the issue
of service delivery to residents of Lephalale Municipality.
Factional battles within the ANC, doing the opposite of what ought to be the
main focus area, i.e. service deliver. The EFF view this as another way of
putting a right candidate to can be used to loot the government purse in
Lephalale municipality whereas our masses continue to suffocate much under
the ANC administration due to greed and factional revengeful politics.
The EFF therefore calls on all ground forces in the Lephalale Municipality to
forge ahead with mass recruitment to ensure decisive victory come 2024 so
that the scourge of the ANC factional battles is done away.
Lephalale is one of the strategic small areas which provide citizens with coal
and energy.
The EFF in the province calls upon the councillors of the EFF in the Lephalale
Municipality to remain extra vigilant and keep the ruling ANC accountable for
every action council resolve to take or make.
People of the Lephalale Municipality must ensure that come 2024 the ANC is
shown the exit door, otherwise as the EFF will have nobody to put the blame
on except ourselves as the masses as we hold true power to elect and to
remove representatives in the councils.
We wait to see how long the new mayor will be in office for as it would seem
changing Mayors for the ANC is like changing diapers. The ANC shows
complete disregard for the pride of voters who put them into power. The ANC
in the Lephalale Municipality is playing yoyo with the lives of the masses of our
people to line its own individual pockets at the expense of our poor masses.
The route to next general and local elections begins now in earnest, the enemy
of the masses must fall!
