POLICE REARREST ONE OF THE THREE ESCAPEES IN HLOGOTLOU.
REPOTER: TSHEPO C MOLOTO: POLOKWANE: A 20- year-old , Thabang Mokoena who was amongst the four suspects who escaped from Police Cells in Hlogotlou was today, Sunday, 7 May 2023 rearrested.
This fugitive escaped from lawful custody together with the other three at SAPS Hlogotlou Police cells on Thursday, 4 May 2023 at about 18:00. Two of them are rearrested while the other two are still at large.
Thabang was allegedly handed over to the police by a family member after they learned about his escape. He will be facing charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances and escaping from Lawful Custody.
The two remaining suspects were arrested for a series of crimes that were committed at different locations in the Sekhukhune District between 2019 and 2023 period.
Thabang Nzima (31) was facing charges of rape that he committed in Motetema policing area in January 2019 prior his escape while Lewis Magoro (36) was facing charges of attempted murder and robbery that he committed in Motetema policing area in December 2022 and January 2023.
