Update on the case of Mr. Promise Lebepe (30), who allegedly assaulted a nurse at Relela Clinic.
Mr Promise Lebepe, a 30 year old from Relela Village in Kgapane, appeared briefly today at Kgapane Magistrate court and pleaded guilty. The case was postponed to the 2nd May 2023 for the guilty plea, while the accused was denied bail and remained in custody.
“We are happy that the court has denied the accused person bail. This is what we have been calling for that no bail must be granted to the accused person.We believe that this will serve as a deterant to those who still think of attacking our health care professionals. Our gratitude goes to the healthcare professionals who attended the court case in support of our assaulted nurse. We call other health care professionals to be in court on the 02 May 2023 at Kgapane Magistrate court,” said MEC Ramathuba.
