LIMPOPO HOSTS NETBALL WORLD CUP 100 DAYS COUNT DOWN CELEBRATION

As the country is preparing to host the 2023 Netball World Cup in July, Limpopo Province is hard at work advocating for netball games throughout the province. The province will host the Netball World Cup 100 days countdown through a mini-world cup scheduled to be staged in Seshego at Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sport Centre on Wednesday. The games are a culmination of ward, cluster and district games which were held recently, in all the districts.

The Limpopo MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Ms. Nakedi Kekana invites members of the media to attend the 100 days celebration which will be held in collaboration with Netball SA, the Limpopo Sport Confederation, the Limpopo Academy of Sport and Limpopo Netball Federation and it is aimed at creating awareness and mobilise communities to support the forthcoming 2023 Netball World Cup. The initiative will further contribute to raising the profile of Netball as a sporting code in the country.

The 100 days celebration is scheduled as follows:

Date : 19 April 2023 (Wednesday)
Venue : Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sport Complex, Seshego, Polokwane Municipality, Capricorn District

Time​: 08:00 (Formal Programme starts @ 11:00)

South Africa on behalf of the continent will host the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town, Western Cape Province from July to August 2023.
