The Management of South African Police Service to host the School and Campus Safety Dialogue

POLOKWANE: The Management of the South African Police Service led by Head Office Division VISPOL will tomorrow host a one day School and Campus Safety Dialogue.

The purpose of the dialogue is to fulfil the SAPS’s mandate of achieving community centred policing which it’s main objective is to create a crime free environment conducive for learning.The engagement also forms part of the ongoing Campus Safety program at learning environment.

Various Stakeholders and role players from SAPS Head Office and Provincial Management in Limpopo under the leadership of Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, Education Sector, different communities in Limpopo, Community Policing Forum as well as Students will participate in the dialogue.

The delegations are also expected to come up with lasting solutions to the escalating crimes that occur within the institutions that include gender based violence and femicides and rapes.
