CHARGES AGAINST HILLARY GARDEE’S ALLEGED KILLERS WITHDRAWN
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Mpumalanga learnt this morning that the key state witnesses in the matter involving the four men who allegedly killed Hillary Gardee could not be traced and therefore a decision to provisionally withdraw charges against the accused has
been taken.
Sipho Mkhatshwa , Philemon Lukhele, Albert Mduduzi Gama and Raise Nkuna are facing charges of murder, kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances and defeating the ends of justice.
This relates to the incident which happened in April last year where the deceased, Hillary Gardee was reported missing and her lifeless body was found 60 kilometres away from Mbombela towards Sabie.This led to the arrest of the four accused.
The prosecution will engage South African Police Service to trace the witnesses in the matter with the hope of reinstating the charges .
