POLICE ARE APPEALING FOR ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING BODY OF UNKNOWN MAN RETRIEVED FROM ALVERTON RIVER IN TUBATSE
POLOKWANE: The Police ar Tubatse in Sekhukhune District are appealing to Community to come forward and assist in identifying the body of unknown man retrieved from Alverton river .
The body was retrieved by the Provincial Search and Rescue Unit on Tuesday, 21 March 2023 at about 17:00.
According to the information , Police received a report about a body that was seen floating in the river by community members who were fishing. The Search and Rescue unit was activated.
The Team commenced with the search and managed to retrieve the body which was in an advanced state of decomposition. The cause of the incident is not yet established. An inquest docket has been opened for further Investigation.
