SUSPECTS FOUND WITH DYE-STAINED MONEY APPEAR IN COURT
Three men appeared at the Tembisa Magistrates’ Court facing charges of possession of suspected stolen money, and unlawful possession of unlicensed firearms and explosives. Bothele Stanley Montsa, Domingo Ngonyama and Mohale Mofokeng, were arrested in Tembisa on 04 March 2023, following a tip-off. Montsa was arrested while transporting dye-stained money. Upon further investigation, Ngonyama and Mofokeng were found in a room with unlicensed firearms, ammunition, explosives, and dye-stained money.
Investigations are ongoing, to determine if the trio is not linked to automated teller machines (ATM) bombings in and around Gauteng. The case was postponed to 13 March 2023, for a possible bail hearing.
