Launch of Edtabs, where Tech meets Education!
The Premier of the Northern Cape, Dr. Zamani Saul together with the MEC for Education, Mr. Zolile Monakali invites members of the media to the launch of an E-learning Initiative. This programme will see Grade 12 learners from across the Province receive a tablet, loaded with the Edukite learning application, which makes learning fun and simple.
The Edukite learning application which is preloaded onto the tablet comes with the entire Curriculum for six (6) subjects namely: Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Science, Geography, Business Studies and Accounting. Learners will now be able to better understand abstract content knowledge through 3D Animations, where lessons come alive. Through interactive simulations, learners can now apply and investigate what they have learnt. It will further assist learners to prepare for their examinations, by tracking their progress and performance.
The Edukite learning application does not require any data to operate making it easy for Grade 12 learners through the length and breadth of our Province to access the online learning material with a touch of a button. We envisage that this initiative will contribute to the improvement of the learner outcomes for Grade 12 learners in the Province.
