MEDIA ALERT: PORTFOLIO COMMITTEE ON FORESTRY, FISHERIES AND ENVIRONMENT TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS ON CLIMATE CHANGE BILL IN LIMPOPO
Parliament, Thursday, 16 January 2023 – The Portfolio Committee on Forestry, Fisheries and Environment will from tomorrow visit Limpopo Province to conduct public hearings on the Climate Change Bill.
The Bill seeks to ensure the effective management of inevitable climate change impacts by enhancing adaptive capacity, strengthening resilience and reducing vulnerability to climate change, with a view to building social, economic and environmental resilience and adequate national adaptation response in the context of the global climate change response.
The committee invites all interested citizens and organisations to attend the public hearings and comment on the Climate Change Bill.
