EX-ESKOM SENIOR MANAGER FRANCE HLAKUDI DELAYS HIS R30MILLION TRIAL
The trial of former Eskom senior executive France Hlakudi has been postponed due to Hlakudi’s attorney stating that he has not been furnished with written instructions. The R30 Million fraud and tax matter was expected to continue trial but was adjourned to 16 February 2023.
Hlakudi faces tax fraud charges to the value of R30 million, related to his personal tax affairs and that of his companies, Hlakudi Translation and Interpretation cc, Coxinel Chicken (Pty)Ltd, and Bon Services Telcom cc. This is for the funds received between 2015 and 2018.
