PROVINCIAL COMMISSIONER ORDERS MANHUNT FOR SUSPECTS FOLLOWING INCIDENT OF HOUSE ROBBERY (FARM ATTACK) IN WHICH 11 FIREARMS, CASH INCLUDING FOREIGN CURRENCIES AND OTHER VALUABLES WERE ROBBED

POLOKWANE The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has ordered the multipronged team of investigators that has been established to track down the suspects who committed a house robbery (farm attack) at a game farm situated along Tshipise road in the Musina policing precinct last night,Tuesday 27 December 2022, to work around the clock until the suspects are apprehended.

About five armed suspects allegedly entered the property at about 21: 15 and assaulted the wife of the farm owner. They reportedly demanded to know where they kept cash and other valuables. They then took eleven (11) firearms, undisclosed amount of cash in Rands, US dollars and Pounds as well as laptop and a cellphone from the two safes, before fleeing the scene in the farmer’s Toyota Land Cruiser. The vehicle’s registration numbers are DHG 739 L

“The team will work around the clock to track down the suspects and bring them to book. We appeal to community members to assist the Police by providing valuable information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects.” Concluded Lieutenant General Hadebe.

The suspects were reportedly speaking Tshi-Venda and were wearing blue worksuits printed in white at the back.

The Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit will lead the team of investigators that has been assembled to probe this case.
