LIMPOPO PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT COMMOMERATES WORLD AIDS DAY
LUTENDO LIVHEBE – MUDAU. The Limpopo Provincial Government led by Premier Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will join the global community in commemorating World AIDS Day on the1st December 2022. This year marks the 34th commemoration of the World Aids Day since it was declared in 1988 by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The 2022 World Aids Day commemoration will be held under the theme: “Equalize and Integrate to End Aids”.
The focus for this year’s campaign is to mobilise communities to test for HIV, screen for TB and other non-communicable diseases as part of Cheka Impilo Wellness Campaign. Furthermore, the Provincial Government will use the platform to heighten awareness on the recent outbreak of Measles. The Department of Health will provide services on site.
The World Aids Day Commemoration will be held on the 01 December 2022, 09h00 at Ga-Mampuru Moshate, Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality, Sekhukhune District
