POLICE IN MOKWAKAILA HAVE LAUNCHED A MASSIVE SEARCH OPERATION FOR A 7 -YEAR -OLD BOY WHO WENT MISSING OVER THE WEEKEND

MOKWAKAILA : The Police in Mokwakwaila outside Tzaneen have launched a massive search operation for a 7- year- old boy who has been reported missing over the weekend.

It is alleged that a 7- year- old boy, Gift Mathibela left home on Saturday 26 November 2022 at about 13:00 since never returned back home up until in the night at about 17:30 after playing with other children at Mokgwathi village.

Gift was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt with black shorts and red cap without shoes during his disappearance.

A search team comprises of the police, members of the family and the community was formed to locate the missing boy and he was tracked down and traced from the other children’s homes with no success.

It is alleged that on the search processes some clothes includes a cap, pair of trousers and a t-shirt were found in the river which were ultimately being identified by the family of the missing boy as his own.

The SAPS Search and Rescue team has been deployed in the search operation and investigations are continuing.

Police ask for anyone with information that can assist to reunite Gift with his family to come forward or call the Investigating Officer Sergeant Moses Ntimbane at 060 996 0062 or report to the nearest police station or call crime stop number 0860010111 and alternatively report to MySAPSApp
