MEC RADZILANI SADDENED BY REPORTS OF MORE ROAD ACCIDENT FATALITIES ON THE N1

The MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Florence Radzilani is saddened by reports of more fatal motor vehicle accidents on road N1, and has called for motorists to obey all rules of the road at all times to arrive alive at their destinations. This follows an accident on the N1 north towards the Baobab toll gate, in which five people lost their lives. The accident occurred around 04h00 in the morning on Monday, 21 November 2022.

This tragic incident comes a few days after another fatal incident claimed nine lives on the N1 stretch around Mookgophong.

MEC Radzilani sends messages of condolences to the families and relatives of those who perished this morning, and at the same time wishing a speedy recovery to those who sustained injuries. The MEC pleads with motorists to take regular rests on their trips and ensure that their vehicles are in roadworthy condition before they can embark on their trips.
