Limpopo Premier to address Intergovernmental Relations Forum
Limpopo Premier, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will tomorrow, 26 October 2022 deliver an opening address to the Premier Inter-Governmental Relations Forum to be held at The Ranch Hotel, Polokwane. Members of the media are invited to cover only the Premier’s opening address at 09h00.
The Premier’s Intergovernmental Relations Forum (PIGR) is convened in terms of Section 19 (1) of the IGR framework of 2005. The mandate of PIGR is to promote, facilitate and coordinate implementation of government programmes. The PIGR will also be used as a platform to provide feedback on the progress of the District Development Model (DDM).
The Provincial Cooperatives strategy will be presented as a follow-up to the directive by the Premier for the province to prioritize support to cooperatives. The implementation of the strategy will create an enabling environment for youth to participate in local economic development and create jobs.
