POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOLLOWING MURDER OF 31-YEAR-OLD MAN IN POLOKWANE
POLOKWANE: Police in Polokwane have launched a manhunt for unknown suspects following the murder of a 31-year-old man who was allegedly assaulted on Saturday, 02 May 2026, at approximately 23:30, next to a restaurant on Thabo Mbeki Street in Polokwane.
Police received a complaint regarding a male person who had been seriously assaulted and was already admitted to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Upon arrival at the hospital, police found the victim with severe injuries and unable to communicate. Information was later received that the victim had unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Consequently, the case of Assault GBH has been upgraded to Murder.
The suspects are currently unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
