Lekompo musician Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, will remain in custody until December 8, after his bail application was postponed at the Polokwane Magistrate Court. Shebeshxt is facing nine charges, including three counts of attempted murder, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The charges stem from an incident on October 19, where Shebeshxt allegedly fired shots at another motorist’s vehicle, injuring a 34-year-old man. The state has opposed his bail application, citing the seriousness of the charges and the risk of Shebeshxt interfering with witnesses.
Shebeshxt’s lawyer, Adv. Lot Ramusi, has expressed concern about the impact of his client’s incarceration on his career, citing missed performances and financial losses. Shebeshxt was booked to perform at 42 events this festive season, but has missed six shows since his arrest
The bail application of a well known lekompo Musician Lehlohonolo Chauke, popularly known as Shebe Maburna has been postponed to the 8th of December at the Polokwane Magistrate Court in Limpopo. Shebe Maburna is facing nine counts, including three of attempted murder and one of possession of an illegal firearm. The court has heard that Shebe Maburna has missed six performances since his arrest earlier this month. He has been booked at about 42 events to perform this festive season. Magistrate Godfrey Netshiozwi postponed the bail application.
