46-YEAR-OLD WANTED MALE SUSPECT APPEARS IN COURT FOR MULTIPLE CASES

POLOKWANE: A 46-year-old African male suspect appeared before the Jane Furse Magistrate’s Court facing charges of unlawful possession of an unlicensed firearm, unlawful possession of live ammunition, and possession of suspected stolen property.

His case was postponed to Friday, 28 November 2025, for a formal bail application.

The suspect was arrested on Monday, 17 November 2025, during a multidisciplinary operation targeting house robbery suspects in the Jane Furse policing area. The operation comprised members of the Mopani Tracking Team, Nebo Tracking Team, Jane Furse Tracking Team, and the Sekhukhune Flying Squad.

During the operation, police tactically approached an identified address in Mamone Village, where they found an African male inside the premises. A search led to the recovery of two cellphones and two plasma televisions positively linked to the Maake house robbery.

Additional items, including a television, fridge, laptop, grinders, microwave, and a sound system, were also found in the suspect’s possession. The suspect was unable to account for these items, leading to his arrest for possession of suspected stolen property.

Further searching uncovered a Star Norinco pistol loaded with live ammunition, resulting in additional charges of unlawful possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The suspect is also allegedly wanted in connection with a Nebo carjacking and a Springs house robbery.

Police investigations are ongoing.
