SAPS Executes Search and Seizure Warrant on Brown Mogotsi.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) has successfully executed a search and seizure warrant issued on October 16, 2025, for Brown Mogotsi. The warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of fraud, corruption, and defeating the ends of justice.

According to Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, the SAPS national spokesperson, the investigating team met with Mogotsi’s lawyers at their offices in Johannesburg, where certain devices were seized as part of the investigation.

In a separate development, the team investigating the attempted murder case against Mogotsi also met with him at the same offices. This comes after Mogotsi failed to honor previous appointments with the police, sparking concerns about his availability for questioning.

Mogotsi has been implicated in several high-profile investigations and has faced allegations of corruption, political interference, and leaking confidential police information. He is expected to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, which is probing corruption and political interference within the criminal justice system
