POLOKWANE: Police in Sekgosese under the Mopani District have arrested two suspects, aged 38 and 82, in connection with the murder of their 30-year-old male relative who was allegedly poisoned at Lemondokop Village on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased had been complaining of severe stomach pains and dizziness prior to his death. He later lost consciousness and was declared dead inside an ambulance while being transported to the local hospital for medical treatment.
Members of the community, who were dissatisfied with the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, reported their suspicions to the police on Friday, 31 October 2025. A case of inquest was initially opened while detectives commenced with a thorough investigation.
During the course of the investigation, it was uncovered that the deceased’s uncle (38) and grandmother (82) had allegedly poisoned him.
