POLICE ARREST A 29-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING A 27-YEAR-OLD WOMAN IN ZAAIPLAAS
POLOKWANE : The Police in Zaaiplaas, under the Sekhukhune District, have arrested a 29-year-old male suspect in connection with a rape incident that occurred at a local tavern in the early hours of Sunday, 2 November 2025.
According to information, the 27-year-old female victim was at a tavern in Zaaiplaas when the suspect allegedly grabbed her, pushed her to the ground, sexually assaulted her by forcefully inserting his finger into her private parts.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for medical examination and treatment.
The Police subsequently opened a case of sexual assault and the suspect was swiftly arrested.
The 29-year-old suspect is expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court soon, facing a charge of sexual assault.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Major General Jan Scheepers, has strongly condemned the incident and welcomed the arrest.
The Police investigations are ongoing.
