Netflix Representative Argues Dr. Nandipha Magudumana’s Last-Minute Objection to Documentary is Unacceptable
Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi, representing Netflix, has revealed that Dr. Nandipha Magudumana was compensated by the streaming giant for the use of her archives in the documentary “Beauty and the Bester”. Ngcukaitobi argued that Magudumana’s eleventh-hour objection to the documentary’s release is unjustified.
“Netflix made significant commercial investments in the production of this documentary, with Dr. Magudumana’s knowledge and participation,” Ngcukaitobi stated. “She received payment for the use of her archives, making her last-minute reversal unacceptable.”
Ngcukaitobi further emphasized that Magudumana had been given the opportunity to respond to the documentary but declined. Additionally, the advocate noted that the information presented in the documentary is already publicly available.
