47-YEAR-OLD MAN TO APPEAR IN COURT FOR ALLEGED MURDER OF HIS GIRLFRIEND IN SEKONYE VILLAGE, BOTLOKWA POLICING PRECINCT
POLOKWANE: Police in Botlokwa under Capricorn District have arrested a 47-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death at his residence in Sekonye Village on Sunday, 08 June 2025.
Police responded to the scene and, upon arrival, found a woman lying outside the house with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics certified the victim dead at the scene.
The suspect had fled the scene, prompting police to launch an immediate search operation that led to his arrest later the same day.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Morebeng Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 10 June 2025.
Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe commended the swift arrest of the suspect and condemned the ongoing violence against women in the province.
