MANHUNT FOR MURDER AND ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECTS INTENSIFIED IN THOHOYANDOU PRECINCT
POLOKWANE: A manhunt of unknown male suspects has been intensified in the Thohoyandou policing area following an attempted murder and murder incident involving a 67 year-old male victim on Wednesday 14 May 2025 at about 21:00.
Police were alerted about the incident that was committed at Maniini Block M-West and rushed to the scene.
On their arrival they found a 61 year-old woman receiving medical attention from the members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with injuries on the upper body and unable to utter any words and she was transported to the local hospital for treatment.
Afterwards, they were pointed out to the lifeless body of her 67 year-old husband lying on the ground inside the yard with severe stab wounds on the forehead.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the couple arrived home in the evening from a church service and found an unknown number of male suspects busy breaking inside the house and were immediately attacked and severely assaulted.
A manhunt of the suspects is underway and anyone with information that can assist with the investigations should contact the Investigating Officer Sergeant Nekhavhambe Rembuluwani on 071 511 1213 or crime stop number 0860010111 or nearest police station or MySAPSApp.
