BURGESFORT POLICE APPREHEND THREE MALE SUSPECTS FOR DEALING IN DAGGA WORTH R200 000-00

POLOKWANE: The Police stop and search activities led to the arrest of three suspects aged between 25 and 37, who were found in possession of dagga, during Operation Vuthu-Hawe initiated in the Burgersfort policing area.

The Operation was activated from Thursday, 04 July, at around 20h00 until in the early hours of Friday, 05 July 2024.

According to information, the members on operation spotted a suspicious blue Toyota Corolla, with three occupants, including the driver, which they stopped and searched . Police found 04x compressed marking tape wrapped bags containing dagga at an estimated street value of plus-minus R200 000-00 (two hundred thousand rands). The three suspects were immediately arrested for possession of dagga.

The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest.
She further commended members for always being alert and committed in their duties.

The suspects will appear before Burgersfort Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 08 July 2024.
