A 32-YEAR-OLD MALE SUSPECT TO APPEAR BEFORE COURT FOR MURDER
POLOKWANE: A 32-year-old male suspect is expected to appear before Northam Magistrate’s Court, Waterberg District on Monday 16 September 2024 on charges of murder.
He was arrested for murder of the unknown man at Helen Park on Sunday 15 September 2024 at about 04:45.
According to reports the police were notified about the murder at Helen Park Northam. On arrival they found a body of an unknown man lying on the ground motionless with deep stab wounds in the upper body.
It is alleged that after the suspect and victim involvement in a physical altercation, the suspect went home to fetch a sharp object and repeatedly stabbed the victim in the upper body and fled the scene afterwards.
Emergency Medical Services personnel were summoned to the scene and on their arrival they certified the victim dead.
The suspect apparently later returned home to pack his belongings in order to flee. The police then arrived at his residence Helen Park and arrested the suspect before he could flee
Police investigations are still ongoing.
