MUSINA: In response to threats of a shutdown at the Baobab Toll Plaza, SAPS Limpopo Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Visible Policing, Major General Jan Scheepers, and Vhembe District Commissioner, Major General Eddie Van Der Walt, led a high-density operation to ensure the safety and security of communities in the Vhembe District.

The senior management team, supported by the Airwing unit, conducted aerial patrols of the affected areas to reinforce and show a force of strength and prevent any potential instability. This proactive measure ensures the safety of all stakeholders and maintains order in the area.

The community members were kept at bay and never disrupted the N1 flow of traffic.

Major General Scheepers received the memorandum on behalf of Limpopo Provincial Government to strengthen the battle against border crimes.

In conclusion, he urged anyone with information regarding the threats to come forward and assist in preventing potential disruptions.
